HEALING PROCESS

Healed results vary. Your lips should be fully healed 6-8 weeks after the procedure. The following is an example of what to possibly expect during the healing process:

Day 1-3

  • Lips may be swollen and feel tender. You may apply ice in a ziploc bag to the lips.

  • Apply ointment several times a day, keeping lips moist at all times.

  • Apply a clean paper towel to the lips to remove any lymph.

  • No kissing, rubbing or friction on the treatment area.

Day 3-14

  • Scabbing, peeling, flaking will occur for a week or less.

  • Lips may feel dry and the color may appear much lighter than normal or expected.

  • Color may fade 30%-50% lighter than the immediate results.

Week 3

  • You may return to normal routine.

  • More color may surface as lips continue to officially heal.

  • It is crucial to keep lips moist to achieve optimal results.
