WHAT ARE OMBRÉ BROWS?

OMBRÉ BROWS is a semi-permanent shading technique that is darker at the tail & lighter at the front. The result is similar to makeup, yet gives a natural appearance. The process is done using a handheld, automatic machine that inserts pigment into the skin. Permanent makeup has the potential to last up to 3 years (depending on clients’ ability/discipline to follow the before/after care instructions & depending on physiological factors of the body). Excellent for ALL skin types!


BEFORE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • No blood-thinners, no aspirin, niacin, ibuprofen, Advil

  • No vitamins

  • No Retin A skincare products

  • No caffeine (coffee, tea, etc.)

  • No alcohol

  • No working out. Avoid heavy sweating

  • No sauna

  • No tanning No sun-burned face

  • No waxing, brow threading, or tinting less than 72 hours prior

Note: You may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

THE PROCEDURE

A topical numbing aesthetic will be applied. You may come with your brows pre-drawn, or have a picture of yourself with your brows drawn, & we will improve the shape & size to your liking. The entire process can take 2.5 - 4 hours to ensure quality.


AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

After care is crucial and it is extremely important to follow the instructions to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results vary.

  1. Don’t scratch, rub, irritate, or pick brows.

  2. Do blot brows with a tissue, cotton pad, or saline wipe to gently clean your brows 2-3 times a day after the procedure.

  3. Allow your brows to dry heal for 24-48 hours.

  4. After 24-48 hours, Do apply a thin layer of healing cream daily & nightly using a clean cotton swab, especially before showers. You may also use a fragrance free moisturizer.

  5. Don’t use harsh soap on the brows. Splash with water & dab dry.

  6. Don’t use makeup for the first week.

  7. Don’t touch your brows with your bare fingers.

  8. Don’t sleep with your eyebrows touching the pillow.

  9. Avoid intense workouts in order to avoid heavy sweating. After sweating, do not use harsh soap to clean, but splash with water and gently dab dry.

  10. Don’t sunbathe for about 4 weeks.

HEALING PROCESS

Healed results vary. Healed results depend on skin. Your brows should be fully healed 4-6 weeks after the procedure. The following is an example of what to possibly expect during the healing process:

Day 1-4:

  • Immediately after the procedure, your brows will look much darker.

  • Brow area will be sensitive and tender.

  • Swelling & redness is normal and should subside within 24-48 hours. At this point, you may take Tylenol, but avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as those may cause blood thinning.

Day 3-7:

  • Brows may begin to scab.

  • Brows may be much darker.

  • Itchy brows, do not scratch! Apply the ointment.

Day 5-10:

  • Brows may still be itchy.

  • Possibly patchy.

  • Brows may fade about 20%-50%.


TOUCH UP

A touch-up is typically done 4-8 weeks after brows have healed completely. This ensures the quality & longevity of your permanent makeup service. If there are any sparse areas or if you’d like more intense or bold brows, then that can be addressed during the touch-up.

SHAPE CANNOT BE CHANGED DURING TOUCH-UP

THE TOUCH-UP IS FOR PREVIOUS CLIENTS ONLY. DO NOT BOOK A TOUCH-UP IF YOU RECEIVED PMU FROM ANOTHER ARTIST.

Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain longevity of your investment. It is only considered an annual touch-up if you have already had the 2nd session before the 12 month mark.

DO NOT BOOK IF..

  • You are pregnant / breastfeeding.

  • You are diabetic.

  • You are on chemotherapy.

  • You tend to keloid.

  • You are NOT 18+

  • You have viral infections/diseases, Lupus, Epilepsy, cancer, a Thyroid condition, a pacemaker, heart problems.

  • You have eczema on the brow / procedure area.

  • You are allergic to pigmentation and/or make-up.

  • You have skin irritations on the area to be treated (acne, dermatitis, rashes, sunburn, rosacea, etc.).

  • You have had Botox and or fillers within less than a month from your desired appointment date.

  • You use Accutane (wait 1 year - contact your medical provider for more information).
